Hello
Everyone!
I’m finding
it so crazy to believe we have made it through our first month of
Kindergarten! The days are flying
by! This month has been a very busy
month! We have learned the rules and
routines of the classroom, and we are working really hard on being the best
learners we can be!
This month
has been a very busy month for me as I am still putting lots of fun things together
for our classroom, and assessing many of the things we have been doing in
Kindergarten. This is everything from fine
motor skills (holding a pencil, cutting, drawing), and comprehension of the
task given. While the kids had a lot of
fun, I was able to make a list of things we can work on.
I have
completed most of our Math and Language Arts assessments and we have started to
work on Reading, Writing, and Math Workshops.
Over the
next couple weeks, we will be busy learning about all things October! This includes: Leave changes, Pumpkins, Bats,
Spiders, and Fire Safety! We will begin
our science unit on Pushes and Pulls, and in Math we will continue learning
about counting and ways to count. In
Reading Workshop we will begin working on identifying letters, as well as what
sounds these letters make. We have been
working on our rhyming too! Have you
ever seen a cat in a hat? In Writers
Workshop we will continue to work on our teaching pieces, and trying to add
words to our writing!
I’m very
excited for the next month ahead of us! Below are some exciting pictures from
the month of September!
